General Information

Tube designed to be inserted into
the bladder cavity, via the urethra, to drain off urine, instill a liquid
or irrigate the bladder.
·
Recommended sizes – CH06-10 for
children; CH12-20 for adults.
·
Conforms to EN 1616 (ISO standard
does not exist)

Components:

Zero toxicity natural latex with a silicone finish
to maximise patient comfort. 1 central channel for urine drainage; 1 side
channel for balloon inflation; cylindrical distal end with eye design (side
holes) to ensure good fluid flow; 1 inflatable balloon; 1 proximal end with
truncated hollow cone for connection purposes (eg. connect to spigot,
syringe, irrigation device or urine bag) The range is available with both
10ml and 30ml balloon capacity. Catheter lengths vary – 22, 30 and 40cm.

Disposable item available in individually sterilized
paper/film peel pouches. 10 catheters per sales unit. Protective packaging
–card carton. All packaging carries batch number and expiry date. |

Other Requirements: |
Ensure lubricating jelly, to aid insertion, does not
effect the chemical or physical properties of the catheter.
The catheters are single use only – do not
re-sterilize. Rules of asepsis must be adhered to strictly when handling
catheters due to the high risk of infection encountered in urology.
